Location:
The apartment is in
a modern residential housing complex 30 minutes by car from the
Sierra Nevada ski resort and only 15 minutes
from the city centre of Granada.
It is a very short drive onto the fast main road so it is very
easy to get to the ski station (30min), the city of Granada (15min),
the nearest beach (50 min), the Alhambra (15min), Malaga (2 hours),
and Granada Airport (30 min).
Pinos Genil (the village)
Pinos Genil is a village of about 1000 people on the river
Genil which comes down from the high Sierra and eventually ends up
in the
centre
of Granada. The river runs through the centre of the village and on
either side of the river there are little outside terrace restaurants
serving typical Spanish food. For 8 euros you can eat very well.
There are 9 bars and restaurants within a short walk from the apartment.
Who is this apartment
most suitable for?
The ski season is from December to April. The apartment is
perfect for skiers because it only takes 30 minutes to get to Sierra
Nevada. If there is bad weather at the ski station there are plenty
of other things
to do and the city of Granada is very near.
In the summer, the swimming pool, the beautiful countryside and the
good communications are other advantages.
Facilities:
2 Bedrooms:
1 bedroom with double bed.
1 bedroom with 2 single beds.
Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes.
1 Bathroom:
washbasin, shower and toilet.
Kitchen:
The kitchen has an electric oven, 4 gas hobs, fridge-freezer, sink,
washing machine, microwave, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, cooking
utensils,
cupboards, etc.
Lounge / dining room
This room is large (about 20m2). It has a dining area with a dining room table
and chairs. Serving hatch from the kitchen. The lounge area has a sofa and 2
armchairs,
coffee table.
Hot and cold air-conditioning unit.
Balcony
There is a small balcony with views of the mountains.
Shops:
For food shopping you would probably do a big shop and go
to a big hypermarket in your car. There are also a supermarket and
bank in the village. In Cenes de la Vega which is the next village
there are many ski hire shops.
Restaurants:
There are 9 very good, cheap restaurants within walking distance
with terraces serving typical Spanish food.
Swimming pool:
There is a shared swimming pool on the top of the building
which is open from 3rd week in June to 1st week in September.

Parking:
The apartment does not come with a parking space. It is possible
to park in the street either just outside the building or in the surrounding
streets.

A bedroom
Pinos Genil has a swiftly flowing mountain
river running through the centre,
with bars and restaurants on both sides.
