In the summer the Higuera has one of the most sought after things in the Albaicín; a lush, cool tranquil garden with the sound of a trickling water fountain. There are two entrances, one from the Plaza Fatima and the other from Calle Mina. The restaurant is a little hidden and are unlikely to find it by accident although it is very easy to find. To get there go to Plaza Fatima and go to the alley at the end.

There is a pleasant dining room which you can use when it is too cold to sit outside. The cuisine has a slightly Basque influence due to the fact that Mari, Antonio's wife, comes from that region. The prices in this restaurant are very reasonable.

In the evening there is a lively bar populated with a cosmopolitan clientele.
